Your main areas of responsibilities will be centered around the following:
As a key member of the Microbial Process Development team you will support the achievement of overall department goals, including new processes delivering microbial ingredients for consumer care applications
Supervise and manage lab scale trials to deliver a robust process ready for tech transfer to toll manufacturers
Perform and govern tech transfer, scale up, and process implementation to commercial manufacturing
Establish microbial processes at industrial scale for relevant products (clinical material, commercial products) and manage related activities – including troubleshooting, process optimization or introduction of process changes
Plan, execute, and document the development activities according to ISO 9001 standards, and support corresponding planning of team goals, budget, and resources
Active cross-functional networking, both internally and externally with R&D, Quality, Product Innovation, Sales and other teams to support the overall deliverable from OneHealth function
In this position, you need to have:
Master or PhD in relevant field, e.g. Food Technology, Biotechnology or Engineering
Thorough knowledge, understanding and hands-on experience with the production process (fermentation, drying) of microorganisms, as well as strategic planning and people management skills
At least 3 years relevant industrial experience in microbial process development, scale up, and process tech transfer into commercial production plants at partners in food GMP or ISO regulated environment
Strong communications skills for efficient dialogues with relevant internal and external stakeholders, esp. toll manufactures and international teams
Good oral and written English skills
